When we talk about police brutality and racial profiling, some people will filter it through their own positive interactions with police officers. Now, are all cops bad and violent? No, of course not. But sadly, there are too many instances where police are unnecessarily hostile and aggressive when dealing with law abiding black citizens. Two Twitter hashtags, #CrimingWhileWhite and #AliveWhileBlack perfectly illustrate the very different world's white and black Americans are living in.
